Seven more Units Sign up to the Flipping Project

Flipping Project Teams Announced

Five project teams have signed up this year from the following departments:
Biology & Biochemistry
Politics, Languages & International Studies (PoLIS)
Social & Policy Sciences (SPS)

Each team has been assigned a mentor from the LTEO. Teams will meet with their mentor and the project manager over the next few weeks; and an introductory event that brings everyone together will take place in early December.

Flipping Project Launched!

​As part of the Learning & Teaching Enhancment Office's role to support academic staff in the implementation of innovative approaches, Dr Helen King, Head of Academic Staff Development (ASD), has today launched the Flipping Project.

Professor Bernie Morley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) said:
'Exploring and adopting new and innovative teaching methods is an important part of our commitment to continuing to improve our student learning experience. The University's Learning, Teaching & Quality Committee (ULTQC) supports this project to provide individual members of staff and departments with an opportunity to investigate a new approach to curriculum design and delivery. I am delighted the Academic Staff Development Team is leading on this project and would encourage staff to take the opportunity to get involved.'

ULTQC approves the Flipping Project

The University of Bath's Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee, held on 10 July 2012, considered and approved the proposal for the Flipping Project. The project is due to commence in October 2012, and some colleagues have already started using this curriculum design approach.
